According to data collected by The Guardian, there are more than 580 families in temporary accommodation (which includes hotels and bed and breakfast rooms) in Birmingham. The city is suffering from a chronic shortage of social housing as the number of homeless people rises.
As part of our campaign to help the increasing number of rough sleepers in Birmingham, the Pass It On Team supported 60 friends on the streets earlier this month, distributing hot drinks and care packages containing essentials such as wipes, bottled drinks and chocolates.
Donations go a long way in buying items that make up our care packages that we provide brand new, in addition to warmer clothing, thermal gloves and sleeping bags. If you would like to help, you can make a monetary donation to Pass It On
