If you’re thinking of buying new ski gear this winter, then now is great time to sort out your old kit and donate it to a good cause. By donating your used ski clothing to Pass It On, you help homeless and vulnerable people and can be assured that it will be gratefully received by those in need.
Ski coats, thermals, hats, gloves and socks are ideal clothing for homeless people in winter – they are warm, weather resistant and usually of excellent quality. Often, they spend much of the year unused or even spend the winter at the bottom of a drawer.
One of our donors, recently sorted through his outdoor clothing and found a pile of excellent unused items:
‘I had far more coats and gloves than I could ever use. In theory, I was keeping them as spares – but in truth, they just sat in the cupboard. It’s a good feeling to think that someone will benefit from them this winter.’
It’s not just ski gear that useful. Perhaps you have a winter walking coat, or some good quality outdoor boots that you’ve recently upgraded. Please don’t overlook winter socks and thermals too – these items are always in demand. And if you’ve good quality scarves and hats – even a spare rucksack – then add them to the pile.
Pass It On works to make an immediate and tangible difference to the lives of homeless and vulnerable people. We go direct to people in need – if you’d like to help in any way please get in contact.
