It’s such a privilege to volunteer with Pass It On. Hearing people’s stories of how they’ve ended up living on the streets made me reflect on the fragility of life and how homelessness really can happen to anyone. While the items that we gave out were appreciated and are important for comfort and wellbeing, I think the biggest impact was in reaching out to people and spending time listening, just being there, one person to another.
