Charity No.

At Pass It On, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. This month, we’re shining a light on two incredible sisters, Mandy and Michelle, who dedicate their time to supporting people experiencing homelessness. Working for Smiths News by day and giving back by night, their compassion and commitment inspire us all.
Michelle: 3 years now.
Mandy: 6 years now.
Michelle: It’s important to help people who are less fortunate. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple conversation to let someone know they are cared for and not forgotten. That small moment of kindness can make their day.
Mandy: For me, it’s about giving something back. It’s easy to get caught up in our own lives, but volunteering reminds me to appreciate what I have. My fellow volunteers inspire me too—their enthusiasm and willingness to help is amazing. It’s a truly humbling experience.
Michelle: Seeing the joy on people’s faces when they receive their care packs. It’s like watching a child open presents on Christmas morning.
Mandy: I love the sense of camaraderie with the other volunteers. And that moment when we’ve handed out every care pack—it’s like the rush you get after a great workout. You walk away knowing that today, you made a difference.
Mandy and Michelle are just two of the many dedicated volunteers who make Pass It On possible. Their kindness, empathy, and hard work help change lives every day.
